As an End-of-Life Doula (sometimes also referred to as a death doula, death midwife, or soul midwife), I work with people facing death. My primary function is to guide and support a dying person, family, friends, and caregivers in a way that promotes a good dying experience as defined by the dying person and those most intimately involved in the process. Approaching each moment with a spirit of sacredness, love and compassion, I'll walk closely by your side in the last months of life to support you emotionally, spiritually, and physically. My role is to help bring deeper meaning and greater comfort to the person who is dying and to their loved ones, complementing, not replacing, your palliative and hospice care team.
