Gregory A Cetton, MD - Farmington Health Center

Dr.Kunkel received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowships at the University of Utah. Dr. Kunkel joined the faculty in 2004 in the Division of Rheumatology and is currently an associate professor of medicine. He is seeing patients at both the University Hospital and VA Medical Center, and has a clinical and research interest in the causes of, detection of (in particular with the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound), and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and gout. Dr.Kunkel has published several articles in the peer reviewed medical literature, and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.

Kathryn Peterson, MD is Professor of Gastroenterology at University of Utah Health. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Peterson specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system including Eosiniphilic Esophagitis, Barrett’s Esophagus, and inflammatory bowel disease. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern, followed by residency and a fellowship at the University of Utah and a masters program in Epidemiology at Harvard University.

Dr. Mary Beth Scholand, MD is an associate professor in Pulmonary Medicine. Her research and clinical interest is Interstitial Lung Disease. This interest encompasses Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Autoimmune Lung Diseases and Sarcoidosis. She is the Director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic. She runs clinical trials focused on a cure for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. In addition, her research focuses on phenotypic factors and genetic factors associated with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases and Interstitial Lung Diseases.
