The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is a community-based health and human services organization. Located in Chesapeake, Va., it serves over 205,000 children and families each year of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. The organization operates family centers, licensed child care sites, mobile learning centers, outreach offices, satellite fitness centers and more. It offers a range of services in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Numerous families receive financial assistance through the organization s Open Doors program.
