Historic 1918 Strand Theatre believed to be the first large, fully developed movie theater in Shenandoah County, VA. This masonry venue at first showed silent films and then talking movies but was also used by locals for community and school events. The name was changed to Strasburg Theater in the 1930’s and continued as a theater until 1955. And had been closed since 1955 until the Owners decided to develop the theater into what is known today as “Box Office Brewery.” The Strand was known as the “Gathering Place” for locals and the tradition continues today not only as a brewery but an event center for all to enjoy.
