Canterbury Woods Elementary School

Opened in 1966, Canterbury Woods Elementary School enrolls more than 700 students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school s basic curriculum includes instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, vocal music and physical education. It also offers a variety of support programs, including tutoring and developmental counseling. Students of the school also produce a daily news program utilizing video conferencing technology. Canterbury Woods Elementary School organizes a variety of enrichment programs that include a jump rope club and Math Olympiad. Located in Annandale, Va., the elementary school is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools.
