We strive for perfection and accept only excellence, so that our patients will "Smile with Confidence Dr. Ben Wiggins, Jr. is a life-long resident of Portsmouth where he has enjoyed a very active dental practice for many years. He extended the practice to include an additional office in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake in 1984. Dr. Wiggins is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute, and received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University?s School of Dentistry, including an honorary election to Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He received specialized training while serving an internship at Walter Reed Army Hospital followed by chairing the crown and bridge department at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. After three years in the U.S. Army, Dr. Wiggins returned home to open his private practice. He is a life member of the Tidewater Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, as well as the American Dental Association. He is a charter member of the Churchland Rotary Club, where he has served as president as well as secretary/treasurer of the Portsmouth Assembly. He is a member of Monumental United Methodist Church where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Wiggins loves dentistry as much today as he did when he first began his practice. He looks forward each day to seeing the patients with whom he has formed such close relationships through the years, and to forming that same bond with his new patients.
