The Compassionate Friends RVA is a support group based in Henrico, VA, dedicated to providing understanding, friendship, and hope to bereaved families, including parents, siblings, and grandparents. They offer a safe space for sharing experiences and learning healthy ways to cope with loss, helping individuals integrate their new reality into their lives and find joy again.

Founded by Simon Stephens, The Compassionate Friends aims to transform the pain of grief into the elixir of hope, breaking the isolation society often imposes on the bereaved. Through natural expression of grief and the support of others who have survived and are learning to live and love again, healing is fostered, and a sense of community is built.
