Eric J Pierce, MD - Blue Ridge Cancer Care

Dr. Matthew R. Skelton is board certified in oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. After receiving an undergraduate degree from Fordham University in New York, NY, Dr Skelton earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and his hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Skelton is married with three kids and he enjoys hiking and skiing in his free time.

Dr. David Buck, originally from Radford, VA, earned his undergraduate degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Virginia and later graduated from the Medical College of Virginia. After completing his transitional residency internship at the Carilion Health System in Roanoke, VA, he went on to complete a radiation oncology residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Prior to joining Blue Ridge Cancer Care, Dr. Buck served as the chief resident of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia. He is currently the medical director for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Carilion Clinic Cancer Center and chair of Carilion's Oncology Committee.

Dr. Robert Heath attended Oakland University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He went on to graduate from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Heath completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University and his radiation oncology residency at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Heath is board certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. He has practiced in Roanoke, VA for 22 years at the Carilion Radiation Oncology Department. He is also an active member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. Dr. Heath formerly served as president of the Mid-Atlantic Society of Radiation Oncology.
