The Tidewater Youth Services Commission, formerly known as the Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission, is a regional agency that provides community-based programs for children. It works with local court service units, social service departments, and mental health and substance abuse agencies. The agency also offers services for youth and families. The Tidewater Youth Services Commission provides nonresidential solutions. In addition, it offers wraparound and specialized group treatment services. The agency serves adults and adolescents with assaultiveness and impulse control solutions. The Tidewater Youth Services Commission also provides short-term residential programs and individual and group counseling services. Its facilities include Westhaven Boys Home, Crisis Intervention Home, Centerville Group Home and the Tidewater Regional Family Group Home System.
