The Veterans Curation Program (VCP) is a unique initiative that provides employment opportunities for veterans in the field of archaeology and historical preservation. With flagship laboratories in Alexandria, Virginia, the program offers comprehensive training in artifact handling, archival techniques, and technology skills to help veterans transition into civilian careers. Since its inception, the VCP has employed over 270 veterans, fostering their professional growth and contributing to the preservation of our nation's history. Located in the historic Old Town Alexandria, the VCP flagship laboratory in Alexandria, Virginia, was previously housed in the iconic Carnegie Library building in downtown Washington, D.C. Currently, the Alexandria facility employs a team of skilled archaeological laboratory technicians who work diligently to preserve and document artifacts of historical significance.
