Shawsville Middle School

Shawsville Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and career and technical education. The school additionally offers courses in creative and fine arts and health and physical education. Shawsville Middle School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, baseball, football, softball, tennis, and track and field. It supports several organizations that include the National Junior Honor Society, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and student council, as well as yearbook, drama and chess clubs. In addition, the school s parent-teacher association supports craft shows, student assemblies, and dances and family fun nights, as well as provides scholarships for students to attend student council camps. Shawsville Middle School is located in Shawsville, Va., and is a part of Montgomery County Public Schools.
