Longwood University, located in Farmville, Va., is a coeducational state institution offering programs leading to bachelor's and master's degrees in a wide variety of subjects. The university s College of Arts and Sciences offers courses in art, biological and environmental sciences, chemistry and physics, communication studies, English and modern languages, and history, political science and philosophy.
