Children of God Victory Tabernacle is a non-denominational church located in Richmond, VA. Founded in 1993, the Tabernacle has grown from a banquet room in a Holiday Inn to its current location in the Chamberlayne Farms Shopping Center. Led by Senior Pastor Derrick L. Peterson, Sr., the Tabernacle brings together people from diverse backgrounds to worship and serve in excellence through their ministries, with a mission to cultivate transformation through the love of God and a vision to be a place of victory where everyone can experience the love and life-changing power of God. The Tabernacle believes in the inspired Word of God as the divine and final authority for faith and life, and their belief in the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and the salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. They also emphasize the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of Jesus Christ as their hope, and practice water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper as sacred and symbolic acts.
