Dr. Lucien Ouellette is a primary care sports medicine specialist. Sports have always been a part of his life, and sports can teach a person much about themselves. Using your body correctly can make sports of all types more enjoyable and injury-free. Dr. Ouellette enjoys analyzing the symptoms patients bring, the way their bodies move, and deciphering where the movement challenge may be. Often, the issue is not exactly where the pain is. A major part of his approach to orthopedic healthcare is engaging the patient to make lifestyle modifications to benefit their overall health (smoking cessation, weight loss, sleep hygiene, exercise habits) as these all have an effect on healing. Dr. Ouellette specializes in finding movement variations which are contributing to the symptoms within the muscles and joints. Through a team approach, the patient is empowered to correct mechanics to allow healing and minimizing the risk of future injury. In his free time, Dr. Ouellette enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, doing yard work and home improvement, and golfing and hiking.
