Founded in 1919, Vaughn-Bassett Furniture Company manufactures bedroom and dining room furniture. The company is among the largest manufacturers of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States. Most of the furniture it creates consists of wood solids and wood veneers grown in the Southeast. Vaughn-Bassett Furniture Company features furniture made of pine, oak, maple, cherry, ash, poplar, birch and beech. The company produces beds, dressers, night stands, coffee tables, dining sets and entertainment centers. Its One For One program contributed 150,000 tree seedlings in 2007 to the Virginia Department of Forestry to replace the number of trees harvested for making furniture. Vaughn-Bassett Furniture Company has a location in Galax, Va.
