Victory Elementary School

Tyler Elementary School, opened in 1968, is an educational institution that was named for George Grayson Tyler, who was a teacher in the community and served as superintendent of schools. It has an annual enrollment of more than 495 students and a staff of nearly 30 full-time certified teachers. Tyler Elementary School s core curriculum includes math, science, social studies, language arts, English, computer technology, and health and physical education. In addition, the school conducts a special world languages program in Spanish and serves students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. It has various school groups, including the Student Council Association, a parent-teacher organization and school advisory council. Founded in 1981, Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School is located in Woodbridge, Va. The school provides educational services to more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its general academic curriculum includes English, math, science and social studies. It offers accelerated leader and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School operates chess, ecology and drama clubs. The school also offers a variety of activities, such as art, music, dance, and technical and physical education. It operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising activities and special events, including book fairs, cultural programs and family nights. In addition, it features a library that maintains a collection of over 35,000 items. The school provides food, guidance counseling and medical care.
