Aberdeen Police Department

The Aberdeen Police Department is a state-accredited law enforcement agency that preserves peace and safety, enforces laws and ordinances and safeguards constitutional rights. It employs a staff of more than 45 sworn officers and civilian volunteers. The department maintains several special units, including K-9, bicycle patrol, field training, firearms instruction and investigations. Located in Aberdeen Wash., the Aberdeen Police Department has a drug task force, detective team and school resource officers. It also operates a special assignments division that consists of records, corrections, animal control and senior volunteers sections. In addition, the Aberdeen Police Department undertakes cases related to drug abuse, sexual offense, shoplifting and identity theft.
