Pediatrics is rewarding because I can make an impact by helping children reach their potential. Sometimes this is as simple as helping parents get their babies to sleep through the night. Other times it can be as complex as helping an adolescent overcome obesity and depression.

I work with kids of all ages, from newborns through adolescence and early adulthood. I found a career in medicine to be the perfect fit for me. It combines my interest in science, an evidence-based field and working closely with people. I strive to be a respectful, collaborative and compassionate care provider for each patient and family I work with.

I view pediatric care as a partnership between the physician, who has expertise in medicine, and the parents, who have expertise in their child. We are partnering to ensure that the child is happy, healthy, and thus able to fulfill his or her potential. I chose pediatrics because I truly believe in the potential that each child possesses to become anything that they strive to be. I love being a part of their journey toward achieving that potential.
