The Fishtrap Recreation Area covers over 7,000 acres of public land which is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. There are various habitat types from forest, shrub, grassland, wetlands and lakes. These areas are home to a wide variety of wildlife along with beautiful landscapes and even an old farmstead. A nice small lake resort, where you can go swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, or just get some peace and quiet. We are family owned and operated and have been in business for 18 years. We are only open during the months of April and September. Don't miss out & come by, grab a camping site for your tent or RV. You can watch bald eagles soar, or listen to the wild turkey calls, or spot an occasional deer on the hillside. We Pet friendly and even more family friendly. A nice small lake resort. We went there to kayak and get some peace and quiet. We were on the lake on a week day and resort and lake were both like a ghost town.
