The Healing Center is a grief-support community for adults, children, and families. People come to us with a variety of losses, including the death of a partner, parent, sibling, child or infant. Our community offers a unique, long-term, multi-faceted approach to grief support, combining structured therapy sessions with informal events and social networks. The mission of The Healing Center is to provide a safe, supportive, confidential, and nurturing environment for people to move through their grief. Its sole purpose is to provide support to individuals, families and youth who are struggling with loss. In 2005 we established our first central facility, at 6409 1 in Seattle. In June 2006, we celebrated our new home with an open house for clients, friends and supporters. The Healing Center provides some of our services, for no fee, and others on a sliding fee scale.
