Communitas is a nonprofit organization that provides residential services for people with developmental and cognitive disabilities. It works to assist individuals in developing their own circles of support. The organization also works to support individuals and families in developing and implementing financial plans for the security of their family members. Additionally, the organization offers a range of community outreach services in its affordable housing units and rented homes. Communitas provides several volunteer opportunities in the areas of gardening, landscaping, facilities management and office administration. It also publishes a newsletter that features several community activities and events. Communitas is located in Bremerton, Wash.
