HistoryEarly Music Guild (EMG) was formed in 1977 to foster historically-informed performance practices in Seattle. In its 40 year history, EMG has presented the world's best early music specialists like Jordi Savall, Gustav Leonhardt, and The English Concert. Seattle Baroque Orchestra (SBO) was one of the many Professional Affiliates EMG has fostered over the years and the two organizations merged in 2010.
