It also provides community education to individuals, families and organizations. The agency has e team of trained mental health experts who offer a variety of specialized services. Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health was founded in 1972, and was formerly known as Mental Health Services. The agency has more than 300 staff members and volunteers, serving over 9,000 clients every year in Yakima, Kittitas and Klickitat counties in Washington. It is governed by a board of directors, and has offices in Cle Elum, Ellensburg, Sunnyside, Toppenish, Goldendale and White Salmon in Washington.
