The Monroe Police Department maintains social order and peace, as well as provides law enforcement services. It offers services for the protection of residents lives and property, as well as deterrence, detection and investigation of criminal activities. Located in Monroe, Wash., the Monroe Police Department undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies to ensure the safety of the exchange of information between law enforcement officers and the public. The department undertakes cases related to alarm registration, animal control, criminal complaints, concealed weapons permits, domestic violence and underage drinking prevention. The Monroe Police Department maintains a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to criminal law, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations.
