Books and Brews

History

Books and Brews was first opened as a used bookstore and coffee shop in Hurricane, West Virginia. After a few months of business food, beer and wine were added to the menu and the little coffee shop/ used bookstore grew into a full service restaurant. The second location was opened as a full servers restaurant with a library-like feel to pay homage to the first Books and Brews.

Specialties

Our Charleston location opened in December 2018 as a full service restaurant with a rotation of 12 beers on tap among bottles, cans, and wine. Though no longer a bookstore, like our first location, the books are an integral part of our theme. The Elk City location has a library-like feel with used books and old maps on the walls, and a lounge area in the front windows for customers who prefer to stay awhile with a brew and a good book. Our food menu includes hand tossed pizzas, craft sandwiches, burgers, salads, wings and pepperoni rolls, and much more, including the top selling sweet potato burger.
