ABOUT USEstablished in 2004 by Dr. Ronnie Parker, DO, Meta Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, is a family medicine practice providing high-quality and affordable health care. Dr. Parker sees each patient at every visit, taking the time to understand and address their health issues and needs.Dr. Parker is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience who specializes in substance abuse. After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Pikeville College (now the University of Pikeville) School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Parker continued his training at The Tampa Bay Heart Institute at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.He then completed his family medicine residency at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, West Virginia. Shortly after completing his medical training, Dr. Parker opened Meta Medical Center.The family medicine practice manages general health and well-being, promoting prevention through wellness exams. Dr. Parker also specializes in diagnosing and treating common chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.Seeing a need to help those caught up in the opioid crisis, Dr. Parker provides a medication-assisted treatment program that includes Suboxone treatment. Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides outpatient opioid addiction treatment services for adults age 18 and older of all genders. Our center in Huntington, West Virginia, is a safe and welcoming environment where adults can receive medication-assisted treatment, which is commonly referred to as MAT. MAT combines prescription medications with therapy to empower patients to end their opioid use and successfully pursue long-term recovery.
