Roane County Family Health Care is a federally qualified health center and provides medical care and medications to the low-income groups. The center is located in Spencer, W.Va., and offers a wide range of health care services for the entire family, including geriatrics through its staff of physicians, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives. It has a department dealing with the women health issues and obstetrics and also offers counseling for family planning and gynecological problems. It also provides wound care and other minor procedures, including vasectomy. The family health care center offers various wellness programs, patient education and community education programs. In addition, Roane County Family Health Care offers various other programs that include medical assistance, drug, sample medication, breast and cervical cancer screening and dental programs.
