Central Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. The story of Central Animal Hospital began in 1978 when Dr. Richard Stelmach purchased Van Wyk Animal Hospital and renamed it Central Animal Hospital. The clinic was originally located on the Causeway in La Crosse, WI. In 1987 Dr. Stelmach moved the clinic to its present location at 840 2 nd Ave South in Onalaska, WI. Dr. Douglas Kratt purchased Central Animal Hospital from Dr. Stelmach in 1998. Under Dr. Kratt's direction Central Animal Hospital continues to strive to better serve you and your pet. The doctors and staff are committed to staying current with modern advancements in veterinary medicine because your pet's care is our primary concern. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house radiology and ultrasonography capabilities, and indoor boarding kennels with daily leash walking. Central Animal Hospital we strive to offer optimal veterinary care and abundant educational resources, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for years to come. Called Sunday to see if Central Animal Hospital could look at my dog's tail. He's been in a lot of pain, and it looks bent, and my dog yelps and cries when he tries to sit or lie down. Happened...

The clinic is very disorganized and has had a lot of employee changes. With these changes has come a lot communication errors between the staff which in turn is not good for you or your pet....
