West Allis City Hall is comprised of various departments, including assessor, administration, building inspection and zoning, development, engineering, health, housing, police, fire, human resources and planning. It also houses the offices of the city s attorney and clerk. The city hall s administration department addresses policy issues of city-wide concern and assists in budget preparation, as well as oversees cable communications, finance, human resources, information technology and purchasing divisions. West Allis City Hall has a public works department that operates and maintains utilities and infrastructural systems, such as buildings, street signs, traffic control signals, trees, public grounds alleys, sidewalks and sewer systems. The City Hall also has a police department that prevents crime, protects residents lives and properties, suppresses criminal activities and apprehends law offenders.
