Forest County Potawatomi Health & Wellness Center

Located in Crandon, Wis., the Health and Wellness Center works to promote health care services for Native Americans, their families and the surrounding community. Opened in 1995, it is approved by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The center maintains medical, dental, behavioral health, human services and community health departments, as well as a pharmacy. The Health and Wellness Center s medical department employs medical directors, family nurses and women's health nurse practitioner, registered nurses, medical records clerks, and laboratory and X-ray technicians. Its behavioral health department has an alcohol and other drug abuse counselor, mental health therapists and psychiatrists.
