Prairie Du Chien Correctional Facility

Founded in 1997, the Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution (PDCI) is a part of the Department of Corrections of the State of Wisconsin. It serves more than 400 youthful offenders with adult sentences in the ages of 15 and 21. The center is responsible to protect society from unwarranted acts in the society. The Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution promotes the health, safety, dignity and rights of offenders committed to the institution. It offers the 509 High School Competency Based Diploma Program. The center maintains health and psychological services units. The Prairie du Chien Correctional Institution provides the CHOICES and victim impact programs. It also manages management services and human resources departments. The center operates as a medium security correctional facility within the Division of Adult Institutions.
