Waupaca Country Club

Ridgeway Country Club is one of the premier private golf clubs located in the Fox Valley. Founded in 1929, Ridgeway Country Club has been known for it s golf course, with beautiful landscape, and friendly members. Located approximately 30 miles south of Green Bay, in the city of Neenah, Wis., this private member owned facility provides an impressive country club experience. Course designer Mark Prindle laid out a traditional course with mature trees, narrow fairways and small greens. The 6,515-yard rolling terrain course places a premium on tee shots - shots hit short of the hills require a longer approach shot into the green, and those hit far enough may make for an awkward lie. Additionally, the multiple tees ensure a challenging golf experience for players of all levels. Ridgeway's practice facility includes a full swing area, a putting green, and a chipping and pitching green surrounded by bunkers, and all maintained at the highest agronomic standard. The modern-design clubhouse, features dining and banquet facilities for upwards of 180 guests. The Bar & Grille can hold 100 people, and the more intimate 19th hole is perfect for smaller parties. A full-service, well-stocked golf shop, bag room, and locker facilities are all located in the clubhouse. Additionally, the clubhouse is the location of a wide variety of social activities, appealing to members of all ages.

In 1923, a group of local citizens sensed a need for another golf club in the Appleton, Wis., area. By 1924, famed architect W.C. Jackson was carving the Butte des Morts Country Club golf course out of the Wisconsin farmland. The early work on the golf course, such as tree removal and landscaping, was all done by horses and hands. Butte des Morts Country Club is a members-only club that, in addition to golf, features swimming pools, two tennis courts, full-course dining, an a la carte grill and private dining rooms. The golf course is an 18-hole, par-70 course with narrow fairways and mature trees.
