Built in 1895, this Yellowstone National Park shopping destination store is located at National Park Service's headquarters. The buildings in this area reflect historic Fort Yellowstone (the U.S. Army managed Yellowstone until the creation of the National Park Service), and many are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Mammoth General Store outfits visitors with gifts, apparel, equipment and supplies for your trip in to the Park or as you leave for home. Stop in for Wilcoxson's Montana-made ice cream or refreshing beverage or try a quarter-pound hot dog. A photo center is also available at this location.
