Cheyenne Police Department provides law enforcement and crime prevention services to the city of Cheyenne, Wyo., which has a population of more than 60,000 residents. The department has a team of more than 90 sworn officers and nearly 30 civilians. The department has a Special Weapons and Tactics team, horse and mountain bike patrols, and hostage negotiation, special enforcement, arson and explosives investigative and juvenile crime units. Cheyenne Police Department also operates communications and records divisions that provide a range of civilian support services.
