Matthew Wasser, MD is a member of Summit Health's Behavioral Health and Cognitive Therapy Center team. Dr. Wasser is trained to treat children and adolescent mental health conditions such as anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma reactions.Helping others in need has always been a passion of his. He says, Ive always been very community driven. I was a camp counselor for many years during my youth, and I still love to work with families and collaborate with teachers and other community leaders who share my passion.Dr. Wasser is passionate about suicide prevention and is a strong believer in mental health parity, a concept that would ensure that coverage for mental health conditions be equal to coverage for general medical and surgical care.Outside of work, Dr. Wasser enjoys watching sports, the thrilling experience of roller coaster riding, studying history, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog.
