AMREP Corporation specializes in two business operations: magazine service operations, consisting of fulfillment and distribution services; and real estate development. The company, through its subsidiary, Kable Media Services, provides fulfillment services for publishers and distributes magazines. Its fulfillment services business performs fulfillment-related activities, manages magazine subscription fulfillment, graphic arts and lettershop, list and product-fulfillment services. Its newsstand distribution services business provides marketing services for publishers and distributes magazines to wholesalers, direct distributors and specialty retailers. Through its AMREP Southwest subsidiary, the company is a major landholder and developer of real estate in New Mexico. It founded Rio Ranch, the fourth-largest city in New Mexico, where the company focuses on entitlement, devlepment and sale of land for residential, commercial and industrial uses. Organized in 1961, AMREP Corporation is based in Princeton, N.J.
