Dr. Geoffrey Forbus specializes in the care of children and adults born with heart disease as well as heart disease that develops in children following birth both in the outpatient setting and in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. Additional expertise includes fetal, transthoracic, and transesophageal echocardiography as well as the care of patients following the Fontan procedure.

Zachary Kelly, MD joined the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and MUSC Children’s Hospital in August of 2024. Dr. Kelly grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University where he graduated in 2014. He stayed in Atlanta for medical school, earning an MD from Emory University in 2018. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2024. Dr. Kelly’s clinical practice is focused on the care of children with ear nose and throat problems. He has a particular interest in sialorrhea, middle ear disease, upper airway and swallowing disorders. He also has a passion for medical education and teaching and has been involved in airway simulation and tracheostomy education for healthcare providers throughout his training. He has authored several publications in the Otolaryngology literature and has been an active participant in national conferences.

Patti Long is an esteemed healthcare professional with an extensive and dedicated neonatal care career spanning several decades. Her expertise and leadership roles within various prestigious medical institutions underscore her commitment to high-quality patient care and nursing education. Currently serving at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston, SC, since 1995, Patti functions as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Her responsibilities include managing the care of sick and premature neonates, attending high-risk deliveries, and providing clinical guidance to the medical team. Her wealth of experience extends to roles at Florida Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she excelled in diverse nursing capacities, ranging from staff nurse to charge nurse, nurse preceptor, and neonatal transport team member. Patti's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marycrest College and a Master of Science in Nursing focusing on Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from MUSC College of Nursing. Her numerous certifications and accomplishments in neonatal care, including NCC Board Certification and specialized licensure, reflect her dedication to staying current in the field. Patti Long's comprehensive experience, leadership roles, and dedication to health care and community initiatives illustrate her unwavering commitment to improving neonatal care and nursing education.
