University Health Refugee Health Services

The University Health Refugee Clinic offers Refugee Medical Screening services to individuals and families newly arriving in the United States. Established in 2008, it is the only Refugee Medical Screening clinic in Texas not operated by a local health department. Through the Refugee Medical Screening (RMS) Program, our team reviews overseas medical records, completes health histories, and provides physical exams and mental health assessments. We also offer vaccinations, lab testing for infectious diseases, pregnancy, and other conditions, as well as guidance on next steps for ongoing health care. Our goal is to help refugees connect with essential health services as they begin their new lives in our community.
