Engineering, street maintenance, water and sewer, and sanitation are four of the key areas the department plans and oversees. The division is also responsible for the maintenance crosswalks, sidewalks and wheelchair ramps assuring the safety of the pedestrian public. Programs include: sweeping, shoulder maintenance ( ditching, mowing, herbicide ), snow and ice removal, paving, pothole patching, striping, stop bars, and crosswalks.Solid Waste - The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the solid waste collection and disposal as well as the recycling program in the city.
